Y’all be safe trick or treating tonight. My boys have decided they don’t want to go this year. So we’ll just be sitting home and handing out candy.

This New Yorker cover from 2009 is so spot on. What also bugs me are the parents who drive slowly down the street while their kids trick or treat. Just get out of the car and walk with your kids, you lazy schmucks.

That New Yorker cover is sad... I work swing shift and I’m taking a half day so I can take my kiddo trick or treating. Gotta savor the time with the kiddos- put the damn phones down.

People drive down the street while watching the kids?
No doubt these lazy idiots are also not watching the road - not a great day for that.

Yes, yes they do.

We also get groups of families that drive into our neighborhood and park/party on a corner while their kids ToT.

Hey - what’s Halloween without a little drinkin’ & drivin?
Ugh.

What’s really sad is that New Yorker cover is from 9 years ago. It's only gotten worse since then.

At lanta has that beat. The kids here ride in the car too. So the whole family drives around and then the kids pile out. They'll do this as they go house to house. It's kind of sad.

the condo complex I live in is mainly older people; I don’t think I’ve seen hardly any kids around here since I moved in three years ago, so Halloween just isn’t a thing.

I had one guy come by years ago and he was puttering down the street with the kids sitting on the hood of his Caprice. He would stop, kids would jump off and go to a house, then back on and down the street to the next.

I fucking hate those people that drive slowly and “watch” their kids

I do too, but it was raining last night, so I’ll give them a pass. This time.

T hat first Halloween the kids don’t go out hurts, doesn’t it?
My sister took her two down one street and back last night; the two year old had a blast, though her three week old slept most of the way...

It was clear skies and very warm here, so they get no pass anywhere! Plus the kids were fucking walking so they can too. It is called and umbrella

We had plenty of parents with umbrellas too.
